A mid-summer night dream
Being a mountain girl, whenever I get a chance to run away from the city, I DO!
My constant thought is, “Let’s shift to the mountains,” “Let’s move out of the city life,” and “Let’s live in nature away from the chaos of the city.”
I know everyone says it’s not easy to live in the mountains, but I guess it’s worthwhile in the end.
Mussoorie is magical. The air is crisp, the greenery is endless, and the charm unbeatable of an old town. Walking through the winding roads, you feel like you’ve stepped into a different world al together one that’s peaceful and far away from the rush of everyday life.
You must visit Landour—the most peaceful place to walk, where you can watch white and colorful wildflowers bloom and butterflies dance in the air. Landour has the most random yet famous bakeries hidden in corners of the street, each with beautiful decor and delicious treats along with some famous Jams to buy.
Char Dukan is a must-visit for egg Maggi and, of course, the goofiest and friendliest dogs chilling around. Landour is a small place, yet beautiful.
And then, there’s the connection to the legendary Ruskin Bond. Growing up, we read his books in school, never thinking that one day we will walk the same streets he writes about—or even meet him in person! There’s something special about seeing his world come to life.
The winter sun here is the best it shines across the valley, making everything look golden and happy. Mussoorie is not just a place; it’s a feeling this place feels like home. The scent of wildflowers in the fresh mountain air, the rustling of the pine trees, and the peacefulness.
